About Me

A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and have been licensed since 2001.

Over more than 25 years I've worked across community mental health, hospital, and higher education settings. That range of experience has shaped how I work , I've sat with people at some of the hardest points in their lives, across a lot of different circumstances, and it's given me a deep respect for how complex and individual the process of change really is.

My focus is on helping those who feel stuck, people who recognize their patterns but can't seem to break free of them. I work with:

  • Mood and anxiety — depression, generalized anxiety, chronic stress

  • Relationship patterns — attachment, interpersonal dynamics, and how early experiences shape the way we connect with others

  • Compulsive behaviors — substance use, gambling, and sexual compulsivity

My approach combines practical, evidence-based tools with a genuine curiosity about your history. I don't think you can fully understand where you're stuck without understanding how you got there, but I'm equally focused on what comes next.
